Military Family Resources

  • USO Ohio Programs:  The USO strengthens America’s military service members by keeping them connected to family, home and country, throughout their service to the nation.  The USO of Ohio offers programs such as:

    •  USO Transitions - supporting military members, their families, and spouses during transitions

    • USO Ohio Dandelion Club - offers opportunities to help alleviate the stress of being a military child

    • Deployment and Homecoming Support - Family Care program that provides events for service members as they prepare for or return from deployment

    • Tickets for the Troops - provides free or discounted tickets to area events for military members and their families, and many other beneficial programs for military members and their families

    •  

  • Military OneSource - Military OneSource is a 24/7 connection to information, answers and support to help military families overcome challenges and thrive.   Military OneSource offers help with for tax services, spouse employment help, military childcare services, special education needs, new parent help, confidential non-medical counseling and many other helpful tools and resources. 

  • Ohio Troop and Family Assistance Centers - The Ohio National Guard has 6 regional Troop and Family Assistance Centers and 4 Wing Family Readiness Program Centers.  These centers provide support to all military members & their Families, especially during deployments. Troop and Family Assistance Centers provide information resources, referrals, and assistance on a variety of issues including  emergency family assistance, educational resources, mobilization information, reintegration services, youth programs, and family readiness group assistance.

  • Military and Family Life Counseling  - The Military and Family Life Counseling Program works to support military memers and their families by providing non-medical counseling.  These professionals are trained to work with the military community and their families to provide face-to-face counseling addressing the various struggles military families and their families may face.  

  • Special Education Resources for families - Find information and tips to support you and your child with special needs. Learn about early intervention services and find help during relocation. Understand educational rights granted by the Americans with Disabilities Act and much more.
